Kayali Fragrances
Layerable Middle Eastern luxury for the global generation.
Kayali was founded in Dubai in 2018 by Mona Kattan, who built the brand within the Huda Beauty infrastructure before completing a spin-off in partnership with growth equity firm General Atlantic in early 2025. The name means imagination or fantasy in Arabic, and the brand's founding philosophy — that fragrance is an essential, culturally embedded ritual in the Middle East — shaped both its product architecture and its global marketing approach. The house is built for layering. Rather than presenting a fragrance as a single finished statement, Kayali encourages the stacking of its Eau de Parfums to create personalized accords — a convention rooted in traditional Gulf perfumery practice and translated for a generation comfortable with customization. The range spans fruity florals, warm orientals, and vanilla-led gourmands, with longevity and sillage calibrated for climates that demand performance. Kayali has grown rapidly through Sephora, its own direct channels, and a social media-native marketing approach. As an independent company since 2025, it is positioned as one of the defining prestige fragrance brands to emerge from the Gulf in the twenty-first century.

DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
