Pana Dora
Scandinavian clarity meets Middle Eastern depth.
Pana Dora is a Swedish niche fragrance house founded in 2019 by Ibrahim Al-Zouabi, a perfumer of Yemeni heritage living in Scandinavia. The brand occupies a genuinely unusual cultural position: Al-Zouabi draws simultaneously on the restrained, nature-aware aesthetic of Nordic design and the richly layered oudh-and-incense traditions of Arabian perfumery, creating compositions that feel neither fully Scandinavian nor conventionally Middle Eastern. The resulting fragrances are contemplative and dual-voiced, often pairing cool, clean Scandinavian notes — pine, birch, grey minerality — with warm resinous hearts rooted in the founder's Arab heritage. Pana Dora operates at small scale with deliberately limited distribution, appealing to collectors who seek out fragrance houses that emerge from genuinely personal cultural intersections.
