Zaharoff
Bottled echoes of humanity
Zaharoff is an American luxury fragrance and menswear brand founded in 2018 as a refined relaunch by George Zaharoff, whose family had been in the fashion business since the 1970s. The Zaharoff label had previously produced fragrances in the late 1990s — Zaharoff Pour Femme (1997) and Pour Homme (1999) — distributed by Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, and Saks Fifth Avenue. The 2018 relaunch returned to fragrance with an elevated positioning and a deliberately small, carefully sourced catalog. Zaharoff approaches ingredient sourcing with the discipline of a collector: sandalwood from Australia, oud from Malaysia, spices from Sri Lanka, jasmine from Grasse, frankincense and myrrh from Ethiopia. Each fragrance is described by its creator as a form of prayer — a bottled human story — rather than a market-driven product. Perfumers Vincent Kuczinski, Claude Dir, Gino Percontino, and Mathilde Bijaoui contribute to the compositions. The brand sells primarily through its own website and select American retailers, occupying an ultra-niche position defined by high price points, deliberate scarcity, and emotional sincerity as a brand value.

DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
