By the editors · 2 min readCinnamon, incense, saffron, and honey form a dense, richly spiced opening — four distinct materials all pointing in the same warm, oriental direction. Honey adds sweet stickiness; saffron brings metallic complexity; incense provides smoke and elevation; cinnamon gives dry heat.
Tonka bean and praline in the heart deepen the sweetness considerably — tonka almond-sweet, praline caramel-nutty. The composition moves firmly into gourmand-oriental territory. Sandalwood in the base adds a creamy, soft wood foundation beneath the sweetness.
This is an unapologetically sweet oriental with a spiced, incense-tinged opening. Caramel, honey, and praline dominate the mid-to-late stages. Wears best in cold weather and evening contexts where the density is appropriate.
