By the editors · 2 min readPink pepper and bergamot open with a bright, lightly spiced freshness. Magnolia, jasmine, and freesia form a white floral heart that leans clean and slightly creamy — the magnolia in particular adding a smooth, almost lactic quality. Mandarin from the general notes sits beneath, providing soft citrus warmth that bridges opening and heart.
Then the base shifts register entirely: leather and olibanum introduce a dark, resinous character that recontextualizes the light floral opening. Labdanum, amber, and patchouli deepen the contrast further. The structural tension between fresh-floral opener and heavy oriental base is not entirely resolved — and that friction is exactly what makes this interesting.
