Petits et Mamans is designed to be safe enough for newborns — a context that shapes every compositional decision.
The scent fingerprint
Weighted by intensity across 11 accords.
Every perfume in Sillage is represented as a distribution across canonical accord slugs — a lingua franca for scent. Two fragrances with overlapping fingerprints are scent-twins, even if they share no literal note.

By the editors · 2 min readPetits et Mamans is designed to be safe enough for newborns — a context that shapes every compositional decision. Bergamot in the opening is barely there, just enough to lift the accord without any sharpness. Rose in the heart is clean and powdery rather than lush or indolic, more like the idea of a rose than a rose itself.
The drydown onto iris and vanilla is the whole point: the classic powder accord, soft and enveloping, the olfactory equivalent of something freshly laundered and slightly warm. There are no difficult moments, no sharp turns, no projection that could irritate sensitive skin.
In context it works completely. As a perfume divorced from its function, it's an exercise in deliberate restraint — everything demanding removed, leaving something genuinely serene.
