By the editors · 2 min readRouge Malachite is built around tuberose — it shows up in every layer, top, heart, and base, the composition essentially a study in one flower with shifting context.
In the opening, pink pepper and clary sage frame the tuberose with a slightly herbaceous spice, keeping it from launching too sweet. The heart loads in: ylang-ylang amplifying its tropical creaminess, orange blossom adding a honeyed edge, benzoin laying a faintly balsamic warmth underneath.
The drydown holds the tuberose against amber and cashmeran, giving it a softer, plush velvet finish rather than a dramatic close. It wears rich, white-floral-forward, and unapologetically opulent — the kind of thing that fills a room slowly.
