By the editors · 2 min readEternal Oud opens with an unexpected brightness—ripe plum softened by grapefruit's astringent edge, a fruity introduction that quickly gives way to something warmer. The heart reveals heliotrope's powdery almond facets, sweet but restrained, bridging the initial tartness and the deep resinous base waiting beneath.

What emerges is a study in ambered vanilla, thickened by labdanum's leathery darkness and benzoin's balsamic weight. Tonka bean lends its characteristic hay-like sweetness while amber rounds everything into a golden, enveloping cloud. The plum lingers faintly throughout, preventing the composition from becoming too syrupy or one-dimensional.

Despite its name, there's no oud here—instead, this is a gourmand oriental that trades freshness for density as it wears. Best suited to cooler weather and those who prefer their sweet fragrances grounded by resins rather than lifted by florals.
