By the editors · 2 min readGinger and black pepper arrive bright and dry, immediately overtaken by frankincense and olibanum smoke. The opening is church-cool rather than spicy-warm, with the resins doing most of the work within minutes.
Sandalwood and benzoin smooth the smoke into something balsamic and slightly sweet at the heart. Styrax adds a leathery, almost charred quality underneath, while tonka rounds the edges with a soft warmth.
The overall character is meditative and resinous, incense over creamy wood, with just enough pepper-spice up top to keep it from feeling solemn. Holds steady on skin for hours without much shift after the first hour.
