By the editors · 2 min readPink pepper crackles first, a bright, almost effervescent spark that lifts the bergamot into a metallic-citrus haze. Clary sage quickly folds in, its bittersweet green-herbal facet taming the pepper’s heat while adding a slightly saline lift that keeps the heart airy. Patchouli dominates the dry-down, earthy and clean rather than muddy, sustained by the ghost of pepper that keeps the base lively instead of heavy. On skin the scent stays linear: the sage bridges top and base so smoothly that the whole reads as one continuous, low-pitched fresh-wood hum rather than a three-act journey. Projection stays within arm’s length for about six hours, then settles to a cool patchouli skin glow. Office-friendly spring through early fall days, especially when you want quiet earth tones without sweetness or smoke.
