By the editors · 2 min readWoodissime opens directly on dry wood — there is no overture. Cedar, gaiac, and sandalwood arrive together, polished and clean rather than dusty, and oud sits among them as the heaviest of the four, more leathery than barnyard.
The heart softens the architecture without breaking it. Osmanthus brings a suede skin and a small, ripe stone-fruit halo — apricot, plum — the kind of fruity edge you only notice in contrast to all this wood.
Patchouli and vetiver hold the floor down through the drydown, earthy and dry. It is a wood-forward composition that uses its single floral note as light, not decoration — present mainly so the woods can show their grain.
