By the editors · 2 min read"Estoraque" is Portuguese for storax or styrax, a balsamic tree resin — and though the note itself isn't named, benzoin serves as the functional balsamic anchor. Lavender, anise, and bergamot open with a herbal-citrus clarity that leans toward fougère before the florals take over.
Lily of the valley, violet, and rose form a classically structured floral heart, each note holding its position rather than blending into an undifferentiated mass. The benzoin-amber base delivers genuine warmth and a faint incense-resin quality. Sandalwood and cedar keep the finish from going too sweet. An Ekos line fragrance that wears with more presence and warmth than many of its stablemates.
