Cuoium
Violet in the heart is the only floral note, and it's not there to soften: it provides a cold, powdery-rooty quality that contrasts beautifully with the leather-dominant base.

By the editors · 2 min readViolet in the heart is the only floral note, and it's not there to soften: it provides a cold, powdery-rooty quality that contrasts beautifully with the leather-dominant base. Incense, leather, labdanum, cedar, and patchouli form an accord that is genuinely animalic and dry — the leather raw and slightly smoky, labdanum resinous and dark, patchouli adding earthy depth without sweetness. Vanilla is present but disciplined, preventing aridity without adding sweetness. Cuoium is a leather study for people who want the real thing, not a leather suggestion dressed up in florals — Orto Parisi at its most unapologetic.
