By the editors · 2 min readAmbre Gris is exactly what it promises — a soft, salty amber built around labdanum, with little distraction at the top. There is no bright opening; the perfume arrives already warm, like skin that has been in a sweater all afternoon.
The composition holds steady: vanilla and amber lean against each other, sandalwood and a faint incense add structure underneath, and white musk extends the trail without dilution. Longevity is excellent and projection is generous in cooler air. This is a winter perfume in the literal sense — wool coats, dim restaurants, late nights — and reads more skin-warm than ceremonial.
