By the editors · 2 min readVanilla and saffron open in an unusual top-note pairing. The vanilla is rich and creamy, saffron adds its leathery-spicy bite, and together they signal a dense oriental direction from the first moment.
The heart layers patchouli, musk and rose. Rose meets the saffron in a familiar oud-style accord, with patchouli adding damp earthy depth underneath and musk smoothing the edges. The combination reads warm, slightly resinous, and recognisably Middle Eastern in inspiration.
The base of sandalwood and amber provides a creamy resinous close that lets the rose-and-spice accord persist. Even without oud listed, the structure has the smoky-leathery feel of an oud-rose composition. A rich, projecting cool-weather scent suited to evening and formal wear.
