Ella K Parfums was created in Paris in 2017 by Givaudan perfumer Sonia Constant and her partner Olivier Galliardi. The house is built around a fictional heroine — Ella K — whose character Constant assembled from the lives of real pioneering women travelers: Karen Blixen, Ella Maillart, and Alexandra David-Neel. Each fragrance is a postcard from one of Ella's imagined journeys, with Asia serving as the brand's primary geographic and emotional axis. Constant, whose earlier work included fragrances for Narciso Rodriguez, Tom Ford, Kenzo, and Van Cleef & Arpels, brings significant technical authority to a line that wears its literary conceits lightly.
