Fragrance Du Bois was established in Singapore in 2012 as the perfumery arm of an ethical agarwood-plantation operation in Southeast Asia. The house is built around a single conceit: every fragrance contains pure, sustainably cultivated oud oil from its own CITES-certified Aquilaria plantations, sidestepping the wild-harvest practices that have made oud one of the most ethically fraught raw materials in modern perfumery. The collection ranges from luminous floral oud compositions to the deeper, smokier Oud Noir Intense, with bespoke and private-collection bottlings sitting at the top of the price ladder. Boutiques in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Dubai and Hong Kong, plus a Paris atelier, reflect a brand that treats Asia as origin rather than export market — the agarwood story is the whole proposition.
