By the editors · 2 min readEtro's Shaal Nur announces itself: lemon, grapefruit, and bergamot open with citrus clarity before the composition reveals its true ambition. Seven heart notes cascade together — tarragon, rosemary, and thyme providing herbal complexity, petitgrain and pink pepper adding aromatic warmth, orange blossom and rose bridging the savory toward the floral. A rare composition that uses herbs not as accents but as structural elements.

The base runs equally deep: incense and frankincense over vetiver, opoponax, cedar, and patchouli, nutmeg adding warm spice. An unabashedly layered Etro — maximum density, no restraint, sustained development over hours. A reference point for what Italian niche can do when it reaches.
