By the editors · 2 min readOud and tobacco arrive together from the first spray, dense and unapologetic. The coffee note adds a roasted bitterness that tempers the raw animalic quality of the oud, giving the opening a charred, almost burned-wood character. No softening florals or citrus arrive to ease the transition.
Frankincense emerges in the base, adding a resinous smoke that deepens the tobacco rather than replacing it. The composition stays consistently dark throughout, with the oud cycling between woody dryness and a faintly leathery edge.
This is a heavy, uncompromising oriental built for cold evenings. The note count is sparse but the density is high — each ingredient pulls significant weight.
