By the editors · 2 min readA smoke-and-spice opening — cumin and cardamom warm and skin-near, labdanum lending a resinous undertone from the start. The cumin is the marker: dry, slightly animalic, immediately establishing this as a fragrance about heat.
The heart is dense with smoke: incense, frankincense, and birch tar layered on cedar. It reads as something burned rather than something blooming — a censer in a wood-paneled room. Birch in particular pushes it toward a tarry leather.
Oud, vanilla, and rose finish the composition. The vanilla doesn't sweeten so much as soften the smoke; the rose lifts it; the oud keeps the entire base anchored. A cold-weather, evening fragrance with serious presence.
