By the editors · 2 min readFrom the founding batch of the Privé line, Cuir Améthyste poses a leather that isn't assertive. Coriander, bergamot, and a quiet rose open the sequence, already warming toward something resinous rather than fresh. The heart's trio — violet, birch, patchouli — delivers the leather character indirectly: birch provides the smoky-rubber edge while violet gives the gray-purple tone the name implies.
Benzoin and labdanum hold the base with smooth balsamic continuity. Vanilla completes the warmth. The fragrance skews skin-close and retrospective, more about atmosphere than performance — an early template for what the Privé line would continue to explore.
